Mixes are diets that contain a variety of components and can provide:
You should feed you rabbit 25 grams of Russel Rabbit Tasty Mix per kilo of body weight per day. The average size rabbit (weighing 2.5kg), will need 60-70 grams of Tasty Mix per day. A handful of fresh leafy green vegetables should also be provided along with free access to lots and lots of good quality hay (such as Russel Rabbit Tasty Hay or Science Selective Timothy Hay) and clean drinking water every day.
Selective feeding can be an issue with some mix-style diets. Typically, the pellet portion is left in favour of tastier ingredients, and this can lead to nutrient imbalances.
All Supreme’s Tiny Friends Farm mixes contain tasty, extruded nuggets instead of less palatable pellets, to help ensure pets do not pick and choose. We’ve devoted our efforts to help make sure all parts of the mix are as delicious as each other.
However, if your rabbits do pick and choose and don’t finish everything in their bowl, you should gradually transition the food portion of their diet to Russel Rabbit Tasty Nuggets or Science Selective Adult Rabbit Food. This will prevent your rabbit from selectively feeding and will help ensure that your rabbit does not experience any nutritional imbalances.

Rabbits are supposed to have pellet food as muesli can cause selective feeding. Corn and flaked peas etc can cause gut issues. Find it extremely concerning that you still offer this food when you have the science selective
Response from Supreme Petfoods
Many thanks for your feedback. We agree that selective feeding is a concern. Unlike traditional muesli with less palatable cold-pressed pellets which may lead to imbalances, Russel Rabbit Tasty Mix includes nuggets to help ensure every component is equally palatable.
We also stress that hay should be most of a rabbit’s diet, with free access to fresh hay and a handful of leafy greens each day. Any food, including nuggets, can cause issues if fed incorrectly or in excess.
Our Russel Rabbit Tasty Mix contains Timothy hay, alfalfa, and prebiotics to help support digestive health, with no added sugars and a balanced calcium-to-phosphorus ratio.
Manufactured in a vegetarian environment, our products are free from meat contamination.
For selective feeding concerns, we recommend Russel Rabbit Tasty Nuggets or any of our Science Selective Rabbit Foods.
The rabbits love these however I’m really disappointed that a pet food manufacturer is packaging these in none recyclable packaging. What a shame? Can the packaging be changed please. Thanks.
Response from Supreme Petfoods
Thank you for your review, our packaging is recyclable simply take your empty food packaging to a carrier bag recycling point (such as those found at supermarkets and local recycling centres) and it will be used to make other products. Our packaging can also be taken to recycling points at Pets at Home stores. You can find out more here.
Hope this helps!

Picky rabbits with sensitive belly’s. They love it and so far no GI issues.
My 2 Dutch rabbits love their Russel Rabbit Tasty Mix and empty their bowls every time. In fact they come running as soon as they hear the packet rustling! They’re happy and healthy so I’m happy.
This went down a treat!
