Celebrating the guinea pig community at Piggy Fest 2026

There was something really magical about Piggy Fest 2026. From the moment the gates opened at Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park, the atmosphere was buzzing! Everywhere you looked there were happy people chatting, laughing and swapping stories about the pets they adore. It was impossible not to smile.

As headline sponsor, everyone at Supreme Petfoods was incredibly proud to be part of a day that brought together guinea pig parents, experts, content creators and welfare champions from across the UK. It felt less like an event and more like a reunion of people brought together by a shared love of these wonderful little animals.

The response completely exceeded everyone’s expectations. More than 2,700 people came through the gates – when we’d secretly hoped for around 500! It was a brilliant reminder that the guinea pig community is thriving and that owners really value the chance to meet like-minded people, discover new ideas and celebrate their pets together.

One of the highlights for us was simply chatting to so many of our customers face-to-face. Our stand was busy all day with conversations about nutrition, enrichment, favourite vegetables, fussy eaters, hay (lots of hay talk!) and all the little things that make guinea pig ownership so rewarding. We loved hearing everyone’s stories and seeing just how much people care about giving their pets the very best lives.

Our Marketing Director, Claire Hamblion-Jennings, also hosted ‘Eat Like a Pig! The Great Guinea Pig Food Challenge’, sharing practical, evidence-based advice on guinea pig nutrition. She introduced visitors to our free Selective Nutrition Guide app, developed with specialist veterinary adviser Molly Varga from The Exotic Animal Vets. The app takes the guesswork out of feeding, giving rabbit and guinea pig owners trusted guidance that’s easy to follow – do check it out!

At Supreme, quality nutrition has always been at the heart of what we do, but we’ve never believed it’s just about what’s in the bowl. It’s about giving owners the confidence to make the right choices, helping pets live healthier, happier lives and supporting a community that genuinely wants the very best for its animals. Piggy Fest captured that perfectly.

It was also wonderful to see the event giving something back, raising more than £2,000 for guinea pig rescue organisations across the UK. That generosity says so much about this community and the people who are always willing to support guinea pigs in need.

We’re incredibly proud to have played a part in what felt like a landmark moment for the small pet community. If Piggy Fest 2026 proved anything, it’s that people who love guinea pigs really will travel, queue, learn, laugh and celebrate together. We have a feeling this is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to see where Piggy Fest goes next.
